MCS of Tampa is seeking a seasoned low voltage/security Superintendent level person who can assist in the development of design drawings for field installation.
As the Commercial Security Systems Designer, you will manage reviewing and interpreting project documents to provide complete code-compliant designs inclusive of device layouts, system circuitry, calculations, and detailed drawings for the Low Voltage Systems division.
Design low voltage systems, including intrusion, access control, CCTV, DAS, LAN & Wi-Fi Networks, etc. for commercial and Federal applications
Act as a resource, providing technical assistance for projects during bidding, design, permitting and construction
Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs
Coordinate with clients, consultants and project personnel
Design code-compliant, contract-compliant and cost-effective systems while reviewing scopes of work, specifications, plans and legal contracts
Qualifications:
10+ years as a Foreman or Superintendent for medium to large LV/Security projects ranging from $1M to $3M+
Experience with layout and design of low voltage field installations
Working knowledge of Bluebeam
Can read and understand plans and specifications
Can work as part of a team coordinating the plans from design to field implementation
Experience with FA systems a plus
Extensive knowledge of BICSI Standards
Prior prefab and CAD knowledge a plus.

Proficiency with AutoCAD is required; Revit (BIM) and Bluebeam Revu is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
