MCS of Tampa is looking to have a student start a Social Media/Branding Internship as early as January 2017. The internship will be in Tampa, FL, flexible on days worked, looking for PT intern. Open to an internship for six months to a year. At the end of the internship, based on the success of internship there will be a possibility for future employment. Excellent opportunity for someone learn and develop new skills in the commercial & federal sector that will align with their academic path.
This internship provides exposure to what goes into maintaining a fantastic brand for a successful telecommunications company in the commercial & federal sector. This person will have the opportunity to help build awareness about MCS of Tampa's mission and vision. The branding Intern assists the Talent Acquisition team with ensuring the MCS of Tampa brand is broadly visible and highly regarded. Will be done by helping to deliver strategic content and activate the organization's constituent base to impact both revenue and referrals positively.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Manage multiple social media accounts
Brainstorming new social media strategies
Increase brand awareness of all MCS of Tampa services
Take charge of daily posting and profile upkeep
Find opportunities to increase our social interaction and followers
Write creative posts to engage Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn
Engage with followers per day and exponentially increase followings
Delivery of maintained SEO/Digital Calendar with planned content.
Organizing and cataloging digital media
Work closely with managers to create current content for the website. i.e. new bios, ongoing projects, closed successful projects, UC Division, photos, events at MCS, videos, team interaction.
Photograph company events, holidays, sites, interviews with staff
Conducting research on community engagement strategies
Update current marketing materials used for recruiting & sales.
Create new materials used for recruiting and sales.
Other duties as assigned
Time Commitment: Interns are asked to make a cycle commitment for three days per week from January 3rd through May 26th, open to a 12-month internship.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Solid organizational abilities
Social media experience a plus
Coursework in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, or related field
Minimum age for all internships is 18
Selected candidates will be asked to participate in a criminal background check.
